photo_DLRP_entranceDLRP Magic is a great site for information about Disneyland Paris, and its sister news blog, DLRP Today, has been on haitus for the last four months.  Now, they’ve returned and their first article, posted on Friday, has a fantastic roundup of what’s been going on for the last four months at Disneyland Paris – including a few things that managed to go unreported in most places.  Some of the more interesting updates include:

  • Smee has had a makeover
  • Redesigned outsite to the Walt Disney Studios Store
  • Playing tennis on Main Street USA
  • Refurbishments of Alice’s Curious Labyrinth and La Cabane des Robinson
  • Retheming of the Backlot Express
  • Walt Disney Studios finally has a proper ice cream store

Head on over to the DLRP Today article to see the full update, with lots of photos.

The French newspaper Le Parisien reported yesterday that a small fire broke out on the roof of the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster building at the Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Resort Paris on Wednesday morning.

German news outlet Spiegel Online reported that approximately 120 people were evacuated from the attraction and adjacent attractions, and reports on various forums indicate that a large area of the Production Courtyard ‘land’ of the park was closed off to guests as a precaution.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.  The exact date when the attraction will reopen is not yet known.  Estimates vary from “before the end of the week” to “two to three weeks”.
