Thursday, February 11th, 2010

You may remember that last summer Disneyland Resort hosted the Summer Nightastic, introducing a new fireworks show, the return of the Main Street Electrical Parade and some updates to Fantasmic!.  Yesterday, Walt Disney World announced that it’s their turn.  Here’s what’s in store for Walt Disney World guests this summer:

  • Disney’s Main Street Electrical Parade will return to the Magic Kingdom for the first time since 2001.  Led by a new Tinkerbell float and featuring other new scenes inspired by Snow White and Pinocchio, the new parade is set to premiere in early June.
  • An All New Magic Kingdom Fireworks Show will replace Wishes for the duration of the Summer Nightastic celebration.
  • The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror will receive new effects and a new drop profile just for the event.
  • The Sounds of the Summer Concert Series will be returning to Epcot.
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom will see some Extended Park Hours.
