Disney Parks reveals new “Small World” holiday commercial

Saturday, November 7th, 2009

The official Disney Parks blog has posted the new Disney Parks holiday commercial. And it’s a good one.

The new ad shows children all around the world coming together for a trip to the most magical place on earth to the familiar tune of “it’s a small world”. Take a look at the new video below:

Disney testing centralised FastPass distribution

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Fastpass-Logo-webDisney’s FastPass is a wonderful idea.  You pop your park ticket into the machine and out pops a ticket with a time stamped on it for you to return and enjoy a shorter wait for the attraction.  The biggest downside to this is that you have to visit the attraction entrance to get the FastPass ticket in the first place.

Disney is now, however, testing a solution to this at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  At the It’s Tough to be a Bug FastPass Distribution area – right in the middle of the park – you can currently obtain a FastPass Ticket for any of the FastPass attractions in the park.  Want a FastPass for Expedition Everest, but are heading to Festival of the Lion King?  No problem.  Just grab a FastPass from the It’s Tough to be a Bug area on the way past instead of heading all the way into Asia just to turn round and head back to Camp Minnie-Mickey.  A great idea that can save a lot of time for guests in the park.

Over at Studios Central, Glenn Sonoda has written up some of his thoughts on the trial along with some photos of how the centralised FastPass distribution area looks.
